What does it mean to put my trust in God?
Do you sometimes feel like the prodigal son?
Do you sometimes feel like Job?
Do you sometimes feel like Jonah?
Do you sometimes feel like Daniel?
When every day feels like a trial
When every situation feels like it will never end
You have put your trust in God.
You have to.
For having had lower back pain — debilitating as it has been for the past two days, I have had all kinds of thoughts.
Is it cancer?
Will I ever walk again?
When will the pain stop?
Is that punishment for something that I have done?
Maybe I don’t deserve happiness?
Just now, I realise that all these questions and feelings are so negative and not once have I thought to say, even this too shall pass!
“Even this too shall pass!”
No matter what
No matter how I feel
No matter the challenges
No matter the unknown
And no matter the fear inside —
“This too shall pass!”
So I put my trust in the Lord!
