We have come to the end of January and not sure where to begin. This is not a pun intended.
This month has tested me in ways I didn’t expect. It’s not that the days were packed — it’s what surfaced between the busyness. Conversations that challenged me, silences that lingered longer than usual, and a reminder that even when you speak gently, not everyone will hear you that way.
I learned how lonely it can feel to ask questions — especially in spaces where faith and politics overlap. I wasn’t looking for a fight, just clarity. But clarity, it seems, isn’t always welcomed. And that’s okay. Discernment isn’t always loud or public. Sometimes, it’s just a quiet conviction that something isn’t sitting right.
And yet, in the middle of all that, I saw growth. I saw a version of myself that doesn’t rush to apologise for thinking deeply. One that knows when to step back, not out of defeat, but because peace matters more than being right.
I’ve always believed that the art of being human is messy. This month reminded me just how true that is.
So, if January felt like a mirror — reflecting some things you didn’t expect to see — take a breath. You’re not alone. Growth rarely looks graceful while it’s happening.
Here’s to February. Not with big promises. Just with a steadier heart.
